2020 – Present Day: Gist Explained
Sept 2020:
This blog was intended to be a way to collaborate recipes with a group of friends and to touch tough topics like mental health etc. However, as time has passed, I’m claiming it as a way to channel all the thoughts running through this fluff’s head. This is a sole project and like all major projects or risky journeys I take, I’ve taken all the challenges on my own. From all these experiences, I have stories, facts, random anecdotes that just float through my mind. I figure since I’m getting older I should write them down. Memory is definitely not something that runs highly functioning in my family…hahaha. However, weirdly enough, I can remember a hauntingly delicious dish I ate with a friend that blew my mind 10 years back but can’t remember what I ate breakfast the day before…sometimes breakfast that day 😩
I also made the decision to change careers and with that began my UX/UI Design Journey. That started in November 2020. Now one thing is when you start an online certification program during the holidays…during a pandemic…so many distractions! However, who would have thought 2021 would be such a whirlwind.
2021:
Now this year was a shit show, memorable, angering, disappointing, lovely…basically bittersweet. They will all have their own entry when I’m ready to spill the beans. Here’s the fluffiest gist of what went down:
Yay:
- My boyfriend of 4yrs became my fiance in March and fully upgraded to husband in September
- Trucking through my UX/UI journey
- Graduating from my UX/UI Certification Program: You’re looking at a fluffy UX/UI Designer! Woot!🎉🎉🎊🎊
- We moved twice!
Nay:
- I got to experience living with a full-fledged Karen…and the craziest part is…this thing is blood-related…🙅🏻♀️
- Planning and budgeting my own wedding was a totally different experience than planning and budgeting for customers weddings when I ran my own wedding business. Don’t know why
- Recovering from a Repetitive Sports Injury: Basically an office injury due to being overworked. 😒
- Reliving high school nightmares of working in a group project.
- We moved twice!
2022
Once I’ve graduated, dealt with the chaos at work, and hunting for a job this is what I’m aiming for this year:
- Up and running blog
- Finding more pieces of myself and becoming a little fuller than before
- Focus on mental health and quality of life
- Getting more rejections from jobs I’ve applied to, and accepting its out of my control
- Recording recipes that I’ve created
- Just being ok
Those are my current goals, what are yours? Let me know in the comments
That’s all for now! Have a good one and I’ll fluff ya later!
