    Grinds my fluff!

Episode 2: I work with a lot of chefs placing their orders and solving issues they may have had with their order or answering any questions they may have when it comes to products they’re interested in etc. I also process the payments. I’m pretty much a chef/customers encyclopedia and their nightmare. When it comes to payments…boy do they love me…They love me so much that they avoid my calls and emails. I guess collecting payments is a lonely gig. Trust me when I say this if I’m emailing or calling you, I’m your buffer before the accounting department stamps final notice and send your payments to collections…sooo talk to me……

    Grinds my Fluff!

I may have to just start a mini series to get things off my chest. It comes with the territory of my toxic environment at work, freeing up my mental state, and just overall shout out at the top of my lungs “FUCK YOU!” Episode 1: When people at work think they’re super smart but when it comes down to the actual work their words don’t match.  If the work reveals your lies…stfu. Is this pride? Most likely Do they look foolish? Oh yea Are they being boastful because they’re really insecure? 100% PLEASE… Touch grass! Eat your words and grow! If you don’t fall flat on your face and…

    Trimesters and diabetes

If you know me, you know that I’m Type II diabetic with chronic high blood pressure. I’m also currently pregnant. This is my current journey, my experience, and what recently went through. Each person is different. Each mother is different too. With that being said, back in January 2023, I had to switch doctors, and insurance due to the acquisition from our parent company. I could not find a doctor at the beginning of the year and I was running out of meds. FAST. I tried to space them out but of course, that won’t improve anything especially if your meds were only from Kaiser. If you love Kaiser, yay…

    Kat

You were my sister, friend; my whole world when we grew up before life got between us. We did everything we could to stay in touch. We were sisters more than friends. We squabbled at times but the majority of the time we shared our thoughts, movies, lives, and everything. I never held back from telling Kat whatever came to mind. Man I fucking miss you I lost you to a fucking aneurysm and 3 surgeries that were supposed to help you be in a better situation and you fought until your body reached its max. Man when I think about that, It just makes me so mad. It was…

2024: The good and the bad so far

Dang, it’s been a while… It’s been a rough couple of years. Let’s do a rollback Mid-July 2022 was the last time I posted. I was excited and determined to do anything possible to get a UX/UI designer job. It’s mid-April and so far no such luck. Am I bummed? Yes. Will I give up? Nope. Do I need more guidance? Most definitely. I’m still hunting and doing my best not to let my 9-5 burn me out even more than it already does to keep evolving. November: my 9-5 was acquisition and job stability seemed to be all in the air. We also lost our main accountant and it…

    Did you know…

I’m a recent UX/UI Designer graduate. Yes, who would have thought a person with an extensive background in French Pastry and American Baked goods would be stepping into this field. I know for sure this fluff didn’t. I’ve always wanted to be a designer of some sort just couldn’t figure out in what. I designed quite a lot of pastries and plates back in the day in fine dining and specialty cakes. But it wasn’t enough. There’s something different in the way a UX/UI designer can interact with a user and help solve their problems. It fills a void that instant satisfaction can no fill. If you eat a piece…

    Dr. Strange and the Multiverse

Fluff rating: 4.5/5 I am a huge movie fan, but not as big of a big fan in comparison to my hubby. I watch all types of movies except horror. Can’t do it and it STICKS WITH ME FOR A WHILE…Like you don’t even know! Its the active imagination of mine. However, If you got a question about a movie, my hubby’s the one to ask. If you didn’t know AMC is currently bringing back Stubz. No, I’m not promoting it, but this is how my hubby and I have been able to see the latest movies in amazing theaters. $0.99 per month for the month of May. After that,…

    Fluff’s Fiery Sauce

My ethnic background is Burmese-Chinese and Taiwanese, with Thai influences. I got a massive love for Southeast Asian food. What gets me sucked in is the complexity of spices, citrus, pickling, and raw flavors, with a hint of sweetness all packed in one punch in every bite. This practically tingles my tongue. I’m a sauce girl. Maybe it’s from my Taiwanese side where the majority of the foods I liked, whether vegetable or meat, was boiled and you dip it for all that additional flavor…ugh now I’m hungry! It could also be my Burmese side where we consume a lot of spices and liquids in salads, rice, soups, etc. Growing…

This fluff is feeling a bit low

I haven’t been on here in a few weeks. There’s just a lot on my plate and like everyone else, we all need to fluff our “feathers” to get back to tackling all the shit we were tackling before. The one thing for sure…you just can’t run from it… it’s going to still be there. Take as many breaks as you need, but face it to knock it out. Mental Health: It’s such an important part of our being. But it sucks when my culture in particular doesn’t recognize it. I’m labeled different “possible reasons” for my reaction when really it’s my mental health tearing down. Maybe you’ve heard a…

2020 – Present Day: Gist Explained

Sept 2020: This blog was intended to be a way to collaborate recipes with a group of friends and to touch tough topics like mental health etc. However, as time has passed, I’m claiming it as a way to channel all the thoughts running through this fluff’s head. This is a sole project and like all major projects or risky journeys I take, I’ve taken all the challenges on my own. From all these experiences, I have stories, facts, random anecdotes that just float through my mind. I figure since I’m getting older I should write them down. Memory is definitely not something that runs highly functioning in my family…hahaha.…
