Dr. Strange and the Multiverse
Fluff rating: 4.5/5
I am a huge movie fan, but not as big of a big fan in comparison to my hubby. I watch all types of movies except horror. Can’t do it and it STICKS WITH ME FOR A WHILE…Like you don’t even know! Its the active imagination of mine. However, If you got a question about a movie, my hubby’s the one to ask.
If you didn’t know AMC is currently bringing back Stubz. No, I’m not promoting it, but this is how my hubby and I have been able to see the latest movies in amazing theaters. $0.99 per month for the month of May. After that, its $23.99. Your money, your choice.
I don’t want to spoil anything for those who haven’t seen it. All I’m going to say is whoa it’s a lot darker than I expected. It’s got some creepy vibes…however I’ve trained my mind that because it’s Marvel and Disney it’s not going to be super scary. I think one thing that needs to be addressed is the music in the movie, creepy or not, was amazing and on point. If you’ve watched a few Tim Burton movies and some of the marvel movies, Danny Elfman is a musical genius! The music embraces every scene especially one with the clashing of the music notes. It had so much feeling! Though the movie was dark it was also beautiful. It’s kind of like, If you’ve ever seen How I Met Your Mother, Ted talks to Carl about the direct translation of the word “karaoke” which is “empty orchestra”; he describes that translation as hauntingly beautiful. That’s what this movie is. Hauntingly Beautiful!
Grrr…This is hard to write when I want to pinpoint scenes…I won’t. But I will say, there has been a common theme of the multi-verse in addition to spiderman accidentally opening it in No Way Home. This theme is also even outside of the Marvel universe. I’ll showcase that in my later posts. However, there are other themes that need to be addressed as well.
I will say this, I’m going to leave this here until the movie is out on disc, then come back out with a full review of my thoughts on this awesome movie. To be continued…
Until then, I’ll fluff ya later!
